While the official Bluetooth site contains lots of information, much of it isn't so useful for practitioners. The Bluetooth SIG concentrates on specifications, promotion and qualification and less on practical matters such as products, software and programming. Instead, 3rd parties, such as the System on a Chip (SoC) vendors produce SDKs and libraries. Further 3rd parties create products and further 3rd parties create software based on the products. This fragmented ecosystem has created fragmented information.
